On a social networking website a particular question was asked in so many words,"Why is it that a man might have multiple sexual partners and it seems to be OK but when a woman engages in promiscuous behavior it's frowned upon more so than it might be for a male? What is the reason for this double standard or the consequences that follow of such activities?"
In life there will always be a double standard for men and women. One thing we have to understand is that anything is possible for anyone. In society we grow up predisposed to think a certain way for a specific demographic. As we evolve as a human race we must prepare for the worst but hope for the best. Ultimately no one person is in control and thus it becomes a unified effort to have self control, self respect and an open mind with an optimistic view. People should be allowed to express themselves without fear or prejudice as long as they stay with in the guide lines of respect for others. The most challenging dynamics of a relationship are the three C's: Compromise, Communication, and Compassion. With out these no matter what the circumstance of your relationship is whether it be a booty call, lovers, marriage or just friends it will fail or become a hostile unhappy environment for both.
When you do what you do you can lie to everyone else but don't lie to yourself. Because the only person you have to be true to is you. But that is not to say you shouldn't tell the truth or only half of it. When you keep secrets from people you strip them of their first human right the freedom of choice. For example Adam and Eve, our Lord doesn't want us to be forced into loving him because the beauty comes out of making the right decision. In the end when the word"Hoe" is used naturally we may think of a woman not a man. We all must share the knowledge we have gained as individuals from our own experiences so that we may progress as a species.
